Note: Due to file uploading limitations imposed by WordPress, the only way for me to allow you to directly download th3g1vr from th3g1vr.wordpress.com requires a few steps.
th3g1vr.wordpress.com has over 150 posts currently (soon to become over 200, once I get around to it), but I’m sure that some people that read it would prefer to browse it offline, and/or without all of the extra crap on each page- just the raw material. In light of this (well actually, mainly for my own convenience for editing), I took the time to do a basic cleanup of all of the pages, utilizing the HTTrack Website Copier, and Open Office for editing.
The final product: 156 posts and 7 pages, all stored in the form of *.odt files, properly named and categorized by year (2007-2009), and stored in a zip archive for ease of transfer. This covers all written content as of 13 August 2009.
Unfortunately, WordPress does not upload anything other than graphics and document files, and so will not upload the final product as-is, and I currently do not have an online storage solution (Job Corps proxy blocks online storage sites).
But I quickly conjured some solutions; so without further ado, here are the directions:
1. download the zip archive, which I intentionally renamed to th3g1vr.odt, even though it was originally *.zip.
2a.
(1) Save yourself the trouble of having the follow the complicated instructions below, and install the 7-zip archiver. It ignores file extensions completely, so after installation just right-click th3g1vr.odt –> 7-zip –> Extract to “th3g1vr\”.
(2) Open with Open Office. If you don’t have Open Office, see 2c (3) below for instructions.
2b.
(1) If you already have Open Office installed (the downloaded file has an Open Office icon, and does not show the file extension: go to My Computer click Tools–> Folder Options, go to the “View” tab, go to the “Hidden files and folders” section, and uncheck “Hide extensions for known file types”.
(2) Rename file to “th3g1vr.zip“, and extract contents using Windows explorer zip plugin, or tool of choice.
2c.
(1) If you do not have Open Office installed, rename th3g1vr.odt to th3g1vr.zip.
(2) Extract contents using Windows explorer zip plugin, or tool of choice.
(3) follow these instructions:

For office 2003 users
If you have Office 2003, Download and install the Sun ODF Plugin should just work. You can download the Sun ODF Plugin from here
For office 2007 users
- First you need to Install Service Pack 1 for Office 2007.
- Install Sun ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office.
- Open ODT document via File > Open, or by double-clicking the ODT file and when prompted for the application to open it with, choose Word.
If you don’t have administrator privileges to install software, you can try an online converter such as Zamzar or Media Convert. You can also upload ODT documents to Google Docs or Zoho Writer.
If you want to open ODT documents locally but want to stay away from MS Office, try the lightweight, cross-platform Abiword or the full-blown suite of OpenOffice.org.
