GOOGLE “SETS” RESULTS

*I inputed 5 words I felt most described me (analyze, unique, interpersonal, energetic, and inquisitive) I’ve always been impressed with Google, but it is absolutely astonishing that such a simple tool could describe me so accurately, with many qualities being ones I did not know about till recently*

Note: the following words do not describe me (th3g1vr), but my true self [the self that I will work towards becoming as of tomorrow). If this experiment (Ego Death) is successful, I will focus my energies on the development and promotion of a new scientific field that will come to be known as "Ego Engineering".

energetic, unique, inquisitive, optimistic, ambitious, sociable, assertive, responsible, spontaneous, enthusiastic, impulsive, persuasive, sensitive, reserved, cheerful, outgoing, affectionate, talkative, adventurous, impatient, hardworking, trustworthy, generous, honest, agreeable, lazy, attentive, easygoing, indecisive, moody, cooperative, loyal, popular, friendly, social, expressive, accommodating, resilient, happy, productive, fun, resourceful, confident.

What I'm doing with my life

Right now I'm in a sort of transitional stage (being 20 years old, I guess that's normal) and so, despite the fact that there is still much about myself I have to sort out, I've finally come to the point that I realize that the most reasonable thing to do is just move on. I've spent the last 1 1/2 years doing self-exploration, with about 1 year of that time engaging in active writing.

You undoubtedly noticed that the several more recent posts are blank- Those posts are "place-savers" until I transfer the contents of a few notebooks I've been writing in.

I have done a great deal in the few years I have lived- I daresay more than most have in their lives. But this is not about what I have done, but what I am doing. I am doing a whole lot of writing, and well- see "OBSESSIONS" for what makes up most of what exactly I am doing.

Although much of what I've been doing lies under self-exploration and related pursuits, I am going to be attending school full-time and working full-time, well at least that's the plan. I hope to major in Japanese language, but it really depends on if I want to make a lot of money, or follow my heart. If I wish to make a lot of money, I will major in Computer Science, which there is most opportunity, most jobs, and (aside from writing) what I have most experience in. It would be a fair compromise, although I'm not exactly looking forward to Calculus and computer programming, both of which lie in my weak areas.

I'm really good at

speed-reading, computers, GUI navigation, attention-to-detail, analysis, music, writing, conversation, debate, concepts, logic, psychology, intellect, assertion, insight, deductive reasoning, single-tasking, maturity, long-term memory.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

The absolute first thing most, if not all people notice about me is that I talk a lot. To be honest, it wasn't always like that, and there are in fact special reasons for this- one I get around to it I'll explain those reasons in detail.

On a typical Friday night I am

There is no set activity, but I'm either working, going to school, or on the computer:writing, watching anime (gotta quit!) reading manga (hopefully) browsing Wikipedia, checking out various web forums, listening to music, playing freeciv, or some other *technique* of killing time. Hopefully if I'm on the computer I'm writing, which at the very least is something productive.

You should message me if

If you're looking at me as a partner, it's important that you fulfill at least half of the turn-ons, and intelligence is mandatory. You should also take interest in a fair amount of the interests that I do, particularly as far as philosophy goes.

But even if we have absolutely nothing in common, I would love any much-needed excuse to talk to someone besides my computer.

You probably won't believe me but...

As far as I know, everything I have ever had a great desire for has become reality. (No seriously, but looking at it like that I guess if you don't like anything about the world blame me- it might be my fault) :P

Top Storyline Elements

*This is the criteria I use when rating books, manga, anime, movies, etc.*

*this was originally written with anime/manga in mind, but it roughly applies to all storylines*

(1) having a “hook” [to draw me in],

(2) originality/uniqueness,

(3) artwork,

(4) true to the manga/novel/game/etc. (note that I have yet to find a good anime that was made from scratch. so that’s important too)

(5) has a “universe” (i.e. the CLAMP universe)

(6) “rewatchability”

(7) the usage of cliches (in moderation) I particularly like “rich vs. poor”, “harem”, “love triangle” “shojo/shonen-ai”, “cosplay”, “maho-shojo/shonen”, “otaku”, “sudden girlfriend appearance”, “lolicon” “ecchi”…well mainly those ones..

(8) having a neutral point-of-view, allowing the viewer to decide (or not decide) whether to side with the protagonist(s) or antagonist(s)

(9) the plot (although this is one of the most important, it’s usually not an issue because most decent animes have no problem with this one- thus it’s at the bottom)
